Borders

Borders are a hybrid plant/ecosystem construct that places plant instances around given shape. Borders are useful for tree-lined boulevards and formal yards. They work just like ecosystems except that you provide a border area location where the ecosystem instances are placed and they consist of just a single type of plant.

There are two different border methods available:

Border(PlantName, Height, Spacing) – Basic border creation that lines plants around the entire scope shape.

Border(PlantName, Height, Spacing, BorderLocation) – Same as the basic border except plants are places at specific border location – either LumenRT.FRONT or LumenRT.CORNER.

string PlantName: The name of the plant.

float Height: The height of the plant in meters

float Spacing: The spacing in meters between plants

string BorderLocation: A border location enumerator where instances should be placed – either LumenRT.FRONT or LumenRT.CORNER

Examples:

LumenRT.Border(“Boxwood”,1.0,4) – creates a Boxwood plant border around the entire shape at a height of 1.0 meter and a spacing of 4 meters between plants.

LumenRT.Border(“Ficus”, 2.0, 4, LumenRT.FRONT) – creates a Ficus tree plant border on the front side (street facing) shape edge with a plant height of 2 meters and a plant spacing of 4 meters.
